The University will process your application and will send it to the Ministry of National Education for further evaluation. It may take about a month to get a response from the Ministry of National Education. Upon receiving the response the Romanian Universities will release the results. If the admission is accepted, the university will send a letter of acceptance and guide the student about further processing.

Romania Study Visa

Once the Acceptance Letter has been received and the necessary fees have been paid, the applicant will then submit an application for a study visa at the Romanian Embassy in the applicant’s country of residence or the nearest Romanian diplomatic mission. In some cases, the university itself may be responsible for the visa formalities. Once the study visa has been approved and issued, the enrolled student will then depart to Romania and proceed with the enrollment process. The student must appear in person at the Enrollment section of the Office for international relations and foreign students for registration.

The cost of renting a student hostel in Romania is usually around €150 per month, including all utility bills. Shared apartments are shared rooms that can accommodate 2 or 3 students, and the rent per month is usually between €100 and €300. Private apartments are also available, but the price is higher depending on the facilities available. Just like in any other study abroad destination, international students’ living costs depend on their lifestyle and how they spend their money. Public transportation includes bus, tram, trolley bus, etc. Public transport fees are paid in 2 ways: ticket or electronic card. Both tickets and cards need to be bought before the ride. Public transport tickets for a day cost 8 RON. For a week it costs 15 RON. For 15 days it costs 25 and for a month it costs 50. Maxi Taxi can carry up to 25 people. Charges for Maxi Taxi depend on the distance traveled. Public transport in Romania is also available via underground or subway. A subway card can be bought with 2 tickets, 10 tickets and 8 RON. A day pass costs 5 and a month pass costs 25. These are the estimated average rates, which may vary depending on the student’s location, currency exchange rate, inflation, and of course, lifestyle. Students also need to pay for their residence permit and work permit, as well as their renewal.
