  • Duration of study in medical specialists is of 6 years – 360 credits.

  • The academic year renders courses that are a minimum of 60 credit hours for intramural learners.

  • One semester equals to 30 credits when the academic year is composed of two semesters.

Universities and Tuition Cost in Kyrgyzstan for International Students 

Typical tuition fees at private universities range from $1,500 for Kyrgyzstan nationals to $2,000 for foreign students, but fees for Kyrgyz State University and other public universities are significantly lower, about 5,000 to 10,000 SOMS (US$100 to US$200) per annum. Scholarships in the form of fee waivers are available at most institutions to deserving students. Only Kyrgyz-Turkish University has no fee structure.

Culture of Kyrgyzstan

From clothing to other essentials, everything in the nature-based Kyrgyz lifestyle is designed to adapt to the changing weather and local conditions. Yurt structures are easy to disassemble and transport. They can be heated or cooled during the winter and cooled during the summer. The interior textiles of the yurt, including shyrdak (a type of shawl) and tushki (a type of rug made of felt and embroidered with embroidery) are inspired by the designs of nature, including plants, animals and landscapes. Clothing is mostly made from natural materials and is designed for comfort and style.

Monuments, Memorials and Museums

In Kyrgyzstan, there are monuments that date back to the Soviet era. New monuments to Manas and older monuments to Lenin can be found all over the country, as well as monuments to other important people like ChingizAzatmatov or Toktogul Satylganov or Przewalsky. Degree courses, however, have different completion times. For example, an undergraduate program will take 4 to 5 years to complete, while a masters degree or a doctoral program will take at least 2 years.

Admission Intakes

Generally, admission begins in the summer months prior to the entry in September. Most of the institutions require students to complete an application form containing details of their secondary or vocational education and training (S&T) records. Institutions offering courses in English require correct language test scores, such as TOEFL, to be included in the application form. Kyrgyzstan’s universities held their entrance examinations in July. As a result, these universities are entitled to admit or reject students on the basis of their entry test scores.

  • Certificate of Matric/O-level and Intermediate/A-level attested from the relevant board.

  • Translation of Birth certificate in the required language.
